FAYE: Hi Taras, why don’t you give me the quick elevator pitch on what you are trying to achieve with Flapps
TARAS: Flapps branched off of another enterprise software company thus builds on years of knowledge of the large enterprise environment, processes and requirements.
The essence of time tracking is to save time and costs, and we did not feel that with big-name SaaS companies, switching from on-premise legacy app to cloud was bringing in savings for the customers. We knew we could do better.
We introduced the multi-tenant enterprise SaaS time and attendance application that was designed with cost effectiveness in mind. Easy to use interface keeps onboarding and user training cost down. Customization for different countries is done by configuration and it makes the implementation fast and again at a fraction of cost.
Internally, we maintain only one version of software for all customers to keep tech maintenance and support cost down. And having the development centre in Eastern Europe lets us be very price competitive.
FAYE: Why did you decide to take part in disruptHR this year and what would you like to achieve as a result of your participation?
TARAS: We would like to showcase how we at Flapps use affordable technologies freely available today for digital time recording or Time and Attendance for our clients. We would like to be seen by attendees and we hope to spark interest in Flapps Time and Attendance cloud solution in potential customers and / or investors.
FAYE: Why do we need this solution in the marketplace and how does it compare to others in the market today?
TARAS: Current solutions are typically local, RFID-based, not online and with more expensive terminals. We bring to the market a modern, more affordable solution with all the benefits of being online and real-time. Combined with the multi-country settings and absence management features, it is ideal for companies operating in several countries or globally.
FAYE: What makes your product unique?
TARAS: It is an Enterprise-born tool, which has a unique combination of features that were developed based on enterprise customers’ requirements and feedback.
It is highly customizable and configurable without programming which enables fast and cost-effective implementation for multiple legal entities in multiple countries environment.
It supports 5 different ways of recording attendance including automatic exception-based time tracking and mobile devices.
Roll-out time is in weeks, not months and we support 5 languages with more on the ways.
Flapps supports custom integrations into hybrid setup and Single Sign On. Developed with enterprise security in mind, it comes with set of security settings and the solution is regularly tested by a third-party security company.
FAYE: What is a typical type of company and can you give me an example of the kinds of benefits will they achieve?
TARAS: Flapps solution is best suited for medium and large companies from a variety of industries. We have clients from Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Computer Hardware, Gas Storage, Financial/Insurance, Consulting, Legal, Software and Construction industries and at disruptHR we will showcase the application of Flapps in an international staffing company. Benefits for this company include real-time visibility into attendance and decrease in absenteeism, labour cost reduction for payroll processing and faster invoicing.
FAYE: How do you support your client post implementation? And what happens to your SLA’s when the Wi-Fi is down?
TARAS: We do provide full post implementation tech and user support. Wi-Fi connectivity is outside of our SLA responsibility, but Flapps solution works also fully offline. It will synchronize the attendance data as soon as it connects back to Internet.
FAYE: Why should HR take an interest in your product or service?
TARAS: Because it is a very user-friendly, easy-to-use T&A tool designed for enterprise. It is modern and fully customizable software, that saves HR and payroll people work, streamlines absence taking and approval process and helps to increase compliance. All this while being very cost effective.
