HR Tech Europe 2011 was our inaugural conference, I refer to it as a no frills event (despite a great buzz and a number of major tech deals being closed as a result) it’s difficult to project numbers and its difficult to say or call anything when the morning headlines from the FT, Economist, etc headline with Eurocrisis day-in and day-out …. its probably easier, perhaps mentally healthier for all of us if we just stop reading the morning newspapers! The one thing I can say with my hand on my heart is that this is different, the tech piece is the game changer for HR and employees (as an enabler, without getting into arguments on strategy first, human side, leadership, processes, user adoption, etc.) we said this last year et voilà this year we very proudly find ourselves surrounded by a who’s who in the industry. Our ethos remains firm as when we first founded the network, our programs are brought to life by practitioners whom are prepped to bring new and tangible content to the table (not walking around repetitive fluffy issues and buzzwords), whom are not afraid challenge the status quo and call a spade a spade.

When to Call a Spade a Spade in HR!

Collaboration: Fortunately, thanks to a lot of hard work and partnering with the right people (BIG THANKS – you know who you are!) we have managed to grow the event this year 2x, which has been no mean feat given the current Eurocrisis, so offers good guidance and testimony to health of our network. This year the event is much more complex with 3 event offerings – HR Tech Europe, Talent and Social offer a mix designed to disrupt. There is something there for everyone; meeting with the right vendors, meeting with industry peers, thought leaders and analysts, those who enjoy the big keynotes & case presentations v those who prefer to attend smaller practitioner driven interactive sessions. Additionally, we have “ask the expert” sessions which encourage practitioners to throw their hat into the ring on a shortlist of key issues.  The real excitement kicks off with “The Nexus” – How the jostling and cross-pollination of Social, Mobile, Cloud & Information will Converge to Change The HR Tech Landscape Forever!

The mix is great and “unparralled”, and I don’t’ use the term lightly.
